We last wrote about Racehorses Are Resources back in August 2017, when they dropped their double album release, titled “RRR LP1,” and “RRR LP2.” Since the massive release, the band has continued to perfect their sounds in the studio as they have been preparing to now bring the music to the people. In a joint-effort to battle early onset seasonal depression, the experimental, improvisational and curiously intoxicating five-member band will be playing Friday, December 8th at Kelly’s in Hamtramck for a highly anticipated live-set with an incredible supporting line-up.
Comprised of accomplished Detroit musicians Chris Peters, Quelle Chris, Michael Lapp, Nick Cicchetti and Nick Speed, the somewhat unlikely crew is looking forward to playing their latest set on this rare occasion. Chicagoans In Thicket and the Hatcher/Kirshner Duo will be stopping through during their midwest tour, and RRR will play an extra-special performance in collaboration with percussionist Zac Brunell, Director of Detroit Bureau of Sound and Manager of New Music Detroit.
