Samantha ‘Banks’ Schefman, a multi-faceted artist and actress, was born in New York City and grew up in Metro Detroit. She lived in downtown Detroit while completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Metalsmithing at the College for Creative Studies.
Currently Samantha is a Designer at Haskell Jewels, New York, creating jewelry and watches for internationally recognized brand Betsey Johnson, while continuing to work under her own name. The remainder of Samantha’s energy is dedicated to supporting fellow creators and arts education, which is the platform for her involvement as Project Co-ordinator for PLAYGROUND DETROIT.
